The Music Truffler

Kathy has been obsessed with music since she was a toddler and persuaded her parents that the emerging Liverpool band they weren’t too keen on was actually fab. She was consequently given their records Beatles For Sale and Help when they came out. Now, half a century later, she boasts a huge record collection that includes vinyl, cassettes, cds and mp3s and which threatens to take over the family home and computer hard drive.

Never one to ignore new sounds, Kathy continues to seek out the latest releases and new musical talent, enjoys going to gigs and has recently started hosting live musical events in her home town.  She has also written and published a book about the local radio station that first fuelled her radio obsession, and in 2011 she ventured into radio herself for the very first time and presents a new music show called The Music Truffler on her local community radio station. 

The Music Truffler is a showcase for the best in new music, established artists, new signings and unsigned artists, alongside one or two older gems we don’t hear too often on air any more. Quite simply, if you like good music then this is the show for you.
