Wayne was born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor, graduated from St. Michael’s High School and continued on to complete a diploma program in Broadcast Journalism from the Canadian Career Institute in 1987.

Wayne spent 13 years as a volunteer in local television production with the local cable station. The last 12 years he has been recording and producing local events such as the 75th anniversary of the former Town of Windsor as well as Labour Day and Christmas Parades, Christmas Concerts etc.

Wayne enjoys giving back to the community and has served on all levels of school councils from Primary through High School. He has volunteered as a canvasser for The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation, The Diabetes Foundation, and others. Wayne, along with our own Jerry Hanlon and station manager, Tom Pinsent, continues in giving by being involved with fundraising for Lionel Kelland Hospice.

Wayne also serves as a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Parish,  and the former Kinsmen Club of Windsor.

At the end of December 2017 Wayne retired from Central Health after 30 enjoyable years. He has been married for the last 28 years and has two sons, Mark and Scott.

Wayne has never been shy of his love of most genres of music including today’s top forty but his true music preference is the seventies and eighties. You can catch Wayne live every Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-2 PM for Classic Hits where you will hear the top hits from the late 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. You can also join Wayne for Classics of Country Music on Sundays at 7 PM.
